Greetings DSB!

Since we've had a few successful 12 vs 12 games, we'll be continuing to host them for now. The plan is to host 12 vs 12 World vs World game every Friday and Sunday evening at 20:00GMT. Everybody please show up and lets have some fun!

Beer, it would be nice if you could not just list the GMT times, but also the EST and Pacific times. Once you figure it out once or twice, you'll be able to know the EST and Pacific times without having to look them up. I didn't know what time the game was today and I had to look it up, not everyone will do that.

Also e-mail notification? Would have best been given 2 days before game. Maybe you can send one today for Sunday?

Due to my IRL commitments I will be starting to host the games during this week and sending advertisements via e-mail and other possible places.

You've never used google before? It literally takes 1-3 seconds to look it up...

And how do you not know the difference between your own timezone and the global standard (GMT)? That's pretty weird...

Americans rarely know the difference to GMT, or anything from the outside world really.

Lol well that is one hell of a stereotype. That being said, I have to look up GMT most times as well, at least the first few times.

I knew you would be the first to comment. :)

It is a stereotype and does not apply to many. However, the States' school system is far more 'us' centric than the European school system is. I've met many Americans who I have discussed the matter with. For example, Entropy is a really smart guy, highly educated, nicely paid and all. Yet he was very surprised when we discussed historical events for example. He told me how you are taught things differently, far more biased than eg. in Europe. Kids are taught mostly States-related matters. If something does not (or did not) affect The U.S. it is not considered important.

Now, there are also many Americans, especially during these times with easy access to Internet and all that look up topics on their own, read global news, etc.

There are lots of other countries where things are taught in a similar way and people are far more clueless about outside world than Americans but most of these are communist countries.

We get taught about a bunch of stuff in school including some U.S. history but not nearly as much as they do. I'm Canadian after all, eh! :P I'd say we are less patriotic than the U.S. and more of a melting pot of different cultures that we try to embrace.

Indeed, I've met a bunch of Canadians and I do not consider you as clueless or patriotic. I forgot you're Canadian for a while.

I like Canadians, the climate is exactly like ours, you have forest, lakes, etc. It's usually very easy to find common topics to discuss, nhl...
