Having two games every Sunday is too much, especially with that long in between of them...

This needs to be addressed and fixed.

We can have 2 games, but then they have to be played right after each other... Or we only play 1 game

My point was to learn from past mistakes not repeat them.

As it is now:

The timelimit is way too long, it needs to be cut down considerably. 30 minutes is definitely worth a try.

The times should be started on time, otherwise why do we even bother settings time for them...?

2 matches in one day is usually too many, especially if they are hours a part.
We cut down the length of the normal DSBL matches from 60 to 40 minutes, but now we're forcing people to play for 2+ hours?.....

They need to be started RIGHT after each other in order to have people interested for the entire time...

By doing one or more of these things we could start one at 18 GMT and another at 18:30 GMT; and then it is still only max an hour you need to play which for me would be ideal.

Well, I want some time in between if I'm going to play two matches.

But even 18GMT and 19GMT would beat the shit out of 18 and 20.

Perhaps a 30 minute game at 18GMT? Then a break of 15 minutes?
So the second game starts at 18.45? SHARP!

I guess the reason this 18-20 was introduced was so that Euros would
more likely show up to the first game and Americans for the second.
However, as we learned from yesterday, it doesn't work that way at all.

And please no Saturday games...

New Team Combat League map has been uploaded to the TCL arena, ?go tcl1

Big thanks to Dral from TW dev team for building this map in such short notice! Comments, suggestions or anything are more than welcome, if nobody protests, we can use this map to play the next two TCL games or even the rest of the league if the map seems to fit better than the other ones.

That map will get lame beyond belief since it is so close.

I propose we try the one from Teamlim, the 4 vs 4 one or the Elim one.

It seems like DSB ships are best suited for stand-off'ish combat rather than free flowing combat. Vulching in DSB makes free-flowing combat more a game of luck because the ships are too weak. The best map for DSB ships is of course the deathstar, a map with large spaces separated by narrow openings. Obviously we want the map to be a little more open than that to avoid total-defense strategies. I have uploaded a map in ?go #ownage which I think meets these conditions. Here is a screenshot:

If if's the size of the original deathstar, it's way... way too big.

I think any map with that many walls will turn into a lamefest way too quickyl.. SInce you cannot really flank the same way as the more opens battles as we had on the first two maps and will have on both the elim, teamelim and 4 vs 4 map..

A lanc, wb and spider could hold down one section for eternity on the map you're proposing laming their ways to kills.

Free flowing combat as you call it has worked fine so far, and I would hardly call it about luck seeing that the best teams and players have done best so far. Especially Pater who have played alone has done outstanding.. ANd I hardly base that on his "luck"
