Back in 2003 I played at 1600x1200 on a 21" inch CRT screen - which was pretty amazing in that time. Pretty much bought that screen especially for SS :p

Currently the ship restrictions are off on public arena - this is just a test provided to you by our development team.

Neat idea. I might actually play freq 1 if I can play a WB or Spider. :)

Nice. At the time that would have given you quite a leg up. Most folks were still on 1024x768. :)

Sort of reminds me of back in the day when PC's had turbo buttons.

i've said it before, i'll say it again. SS/DSB needs a global high scores site. this game aint going anywher without that.

That's one thing that would be needed.

Other than that would be needed are:

1. A whole new Indi League (prac league, that is in http://www.deathstarbattle.com - league)

2. A new 1vs1 League (ladder systemed 1vs1 league - that will lead to play offs, where 16 or 30 highest rated duelers with points proceed)

3. Perhaps it is time to reset the R2G2 Duel Tournament bot, because you can not see #8 on that top10 list and it needs to be fixed.

4. A new racing league (bring back old maps or add in new racing maps for this)

5. Perhaps start a new league of some sort, BABL or a Sector League (Sector League where you play it like North+East and West+South in 2 different rounds)

When it comes to ratio, I think I had around 1500-0 once, but I've seen someone beat it.
ha! i knew i made it into the history books! ;)

man i just shed a little tear after finding this post, i tried so hard to be the best bomber in this game.

i actually bought dual CRT 2k-monitors to hook up in my computer, i had to boot two SS clients to get it work, which i ran together.

so i had technical advantage to other payers, because i could see so far away with such a large resolution.

damn this brings back memories! :)

Holy shit, Z! I recall those days fondly as well, it was epic being your wingman and trying to keep the streaks going. I had no idea on your monitor setup, that would help for sure!

Nice to hear from you again. Lots of late nights (in my time zone anyway) laming it up in Spiders over the years. :)
