I used to bet 6-8k a year but I quit it.
Now I just play occasionally for fun. Less than 1k a year.
I don't have a system anymore. I just play random games whenever I feel like it.
Especially if I'm watching the game...

Nope. The risk/reward doesn't imo match. Play poker :P

I can't get into sports anymore unless I have money on the line

went 3/3 tonight. Rangers won and under 4.5, and Blue jays won

Gonna bet on world hockey championships tomorrow, imo lots of value in Slovakia -125 vs Switzerland and USA at +175 vs Finland

Yea, there are some good world championships matches today.
If you dare, you could play some draws today.

USA are not likely to beat Finland. USA has a bad team and Finland tends to win
USA, no matter what. Russia should whoop Czech ass as they were superior even
to Sweden that has a great team this year.

Switzerland are playing back against the wall so I would not call that as certain.
They have a great team and they seriously need to win today, also losing to France
is something they want to recover from. Slovakia still has looked stronger, I am saying
the scorer of the first goal will win.

Germany Norway, unless something weird happens and Germany really fixes their game
right now, Norway is a guaranteed winner. Norway has been performing well in their
matches while Germany has performed worse than France.

In football, you can expect Swansea to take points from home against Liverpool.
Atletico is a good call to ensure their UCL place at El Madrigal vs Villarreal.
Newcastle visiting Everton could result in a nice away win as well. All very big odds.

Then are two very huge shockers that are possible.
Fulham being in amazing form could steal points from the Lane against Tottenham.
If ManU has lost faith in the title Sunderland might surprise them home.

Anyways hockey is imo a very high variance game so people get really superstitious and get weird assumptions (Finland always beats USA, never change winning compositions etc.). It might be pain in the ass to bet on tough with the right odds.

I usually skip all the games where I have some "weird assumptions" because of what you explained.
I.e. I did not play Fin - USA, while played 3 other world championship hockey matches yesterday.
I considered USA a huge underdog and they had a great return on money and didn't have the balls
to play for them because I feel like Finland just keeps winning USA besides that 1-6 was it two years ago?
On the other hand, I did play for Canada to beat Finland.

Without checking any odds...

Canada - Slovakia (Canada easy 4-1 4-2 win)
Russia - Norway (Sadly, amazing Norway will get raped here)
Fin - USA (Huge mental benefit for USA, Finns however tend to fight till the end, so I'm expecting a 3-3 DRAW)
Finns will also have more support from their own than ever before. Finnish fans have been crazily cheering for both
Kazakshtan and Switzerland when they were playing USA)
Sweden - Czech (This tie is interesting, Czech with a weaker team but Swedes have Franzen and one other key player
injured. Sweden should still go through. I'm expecting a tight game 3-2 4-3 for Sweden.
