DSB Pub Population Statistics - May 2011 - April 2012
As some of you know, we began tracking DSB pub population statistics a little under a year ago. The stats poll the pub every 30 seconds, and record the # of players in spec and the # of players in ship.
Here are the results from the first year. As you can see, last summer was pretty brutal for our pub. However, we've managed a pretty decent and steady recovery since our bottom in August. If all goes well, we could be back to our initial numbers by May. Here are some stats:
Start: The week starting May 22, 2011, we averaged 3.98 players in ship and 15.60 players total.
Bottom: The week starting August 21, 2011 was our bottom. We averaged 0.96 players in ship and 7.27 players total.
Winter Peak: League brought a recovery, culminating in a peak on the week starting December 18, 2011. That week, we averaged 3.46 players in ship and 13.39 players total.
Steady recovery: Our recovery continues. Despite a dropoff after league, our trend is still upwards. We've averaged 2.33, 2.63, and 3.45 players in ship over the past 3 weeks, and 13.40, 12.70, and 15.20 players total as well.

Eridu, you havn't made changes we talked about... why is that?
It seems like Entr0py is around and you have all the power you need.

They're not allowed to change pub beyond the greening/prizing system advocated by Hoch, are they?

True then? I know you've said you'll take suggestions and may even test things that people make, but believing they'll ever be implemented is another issue entirely.Entr0py wrote:You're an assholejim the chin wrote:They're not allowed to change pub beyond the greening/prizing system advocated by Hoch, are they?
I'm only saying this because I find it incredibly difficult to understand how you believe a pointless pub is equally attractive to new/old players than a pub with an objective. I know that Hoch held a similar view, and only wanted some kind of greening/buying system. What has happened in pub so far appears quite similar to Hoch's plan.

Basically Ent, we're saying you're doing absolutely nothing to make this zone anymore fun.
I told Eridu all my ideas abour 3 months ago but they once again fell on dead ears.
DSB has always been like that, it always took 6 months to a year to actually make a change.
