Seth has a point, law-wise as well, you shouldn't post someone's personal
information anywhere without permission. It's illegal pretty much in all
western countries at least.
So, maybe you should thank Seth for editing it out.

Like that we care about law here lol, and no Im not thankful but I also don't think that it's that wrong to take them away. Prolly it's ok if you haven't heard Kassius' own opinion about it. Personally I wouldn't have any problems giving my personal info here.Tembest wrote:Seth has a point, law-wise as well, you shouldn't post someone's personal

Re: Kassius
I didn't notice it until now, having trouble getting to the forums from my iPhone for some reason lately and it's blocked at my work so I can't come here as often as I'd like. Not like it's busy though anyway...
Perhaps some of you don't understand why, fair enough. I did it as a common courtesy as he wasn't present to give his opinion on it. In this day and age things with the world getting smaller and smaller it's hard to remain anonymous on the internet. In my opinion people should still have that right. If he published it himself that is a different story.
As an example, more than 50% of large companies these days search the internet for a persons name as part of the screening process. I've actually seen people not get interviews because of what was on their Facebook profile, also seen folks let go over it. Food for thought anyway.

It wasn't the point whether we "care" about law. Just pointed out that Kass, if he wanted to,Matioso wrote:Like that we care about law here lol, and no Im not thankful but I also don't think that it's that wrong to take them away. could sue anyone who revealed his personal information without authorisation.
Re: Kassius
Actually, any of the biggest companies do not have to do any searches becauseSsseth wrote:As an example, more than 50% of large companies these days search the internet for a persons name as part of the screening process. they buy databases for marketing purposes anyway. So, they most likely already
have information about you. These databases are collected by companies
specialised in it, who then sell it forward.
I don't want to give my personal information away either, my name or even my interests.
Although I don't want to be over careful, and aren't. It's just that I don't want my profile
to grow any bigger when there is no need for that.
Re: Kassius
no he couldn't..... he willingly made that information available already.Tembest wrote:It wasn't the point whether we "care" about law. Just pointed out that Kass, if he wanted to,

and unless he wrote a contract with everyone he revealed his fb profile to, I highly doubt any court would take his case up anyways.
maybe if it had major consequences on his life, like receiving death threats that would leave him buggin or something
Re: Kassius
Lawdy lawd. Look at all the lawyers this place suddenly has.

Well of course, you're right there. I was speaking more hypothetically.
It's not like I believed he would sue anyone, moreover win the lawsuit.
Just stating the basic rules... that it's not often wise to publish someone
else's personal information without their permission.
Re: Kassius
I can't see any negative relations if I posted my personal info here, like that some company would think that it's not appropriate. Anywho, do as you wish.
