Hoch would be proud.
I think what Seth meant is that companies might eg. google you, then they see you're
Matioso and then they read the posts and see how you behave here.
I.e. If they knew Falc's name and wanted to search what he's done here, I don't
think he would likely get the job.

This guy Falc was banned from every zone of Subspace and I think he never did anything useful in the end. No wonder he got banned, for accusing staff for doing nothing all the time.

That is very unlikely to happen.
Every decent company googles the applicants nowadays, because it's just so easy. You're being naive if you think it's a rare event for companies to google their applicants/employees.
My last two companies have for sure. It's why the HR departments don't have web filters like the rest of the company, so they can get to Facebook and the like.

Well I don't know since I haven't yet went to work for some company but it sure sounds absurd. And also depends on what you mean with decent company lol. That doesn't say that you wouldn't be partly right in this.
Well, these days at least all relatively young and competent HRMs
and HR Coordinators use Internet to find information about the
candidates, at least for all managing positions.
I googled almost all candidates when I worked as an HRM, even
though the company I worked for was quite small, and I did not
even have the final word when recruiting Managers. Also, checking
whether they have credit, family, etc. Of course it depends a lot on
the time the HR staff has to use on these matters as well as the
position the candidate is applying for. For blue collar, we didn't often
even have the time to confirm their references.
Hunters are the worst. They check everything, as they are not looking
among applicants but candidates outside, who are not even looking for
a new job. We used a hunter once to recruit a CEO. He presented an
almost 20 page powerpoint of this person to us, before we even
approached the person.
